ON-DEMAND SESSION

Best Practices and Automation Options for EBS Customizations

Delivered at OATUG Cloud ERP Week 2022

Learn more about identifying, managing, and securing Oracle EBS CEMLIs

Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) customizations are known collectively as CEMLIs - configurations, extensions, modifications, localizations, and integrations. Far too often efforts to secure and manage EBS CEMLIs are incomplete and are rarely automated.  For example, CEMLIs should include Alerts, BI Publisher templates, and Fast Formulas for Payroll and Benefits, not just custom forms, tables, and PL/SQL stored procedures.

This presentation will review best practices for identifying, managing, and securing EBS CEMLIs, and will also review several tools and utilities provided by Oracle for managing CEMLIs such as the new offering for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) customers, the OCI Automated CEMLI Execution utility.

Key Takeaways

  • What are CEMLIs, where to find them, and recommended best practices for securing and managing CEMLIs
  •  What is and how to use the Generic Loader (FNDLOAD) concurrent program to move Oracle customizations among EBS environments
  • How to extract and scan custom PL/SQL and Java source code with static code analysis tools such as SonarQube
  • What is the newly introduced (Jan 2022) OCI Automated CEMLI Execution Utility and how to get started with it
